Trans Joy Project
In summer 2025, I collaborated with Peers at UW, an on-campus LGBTQ+ support group, to design a website for their Trans Joy Project. The project centered on a large-scale collage board, shaped by contributions from over 100 students, staff, and faculty. It aimed to extend a physical, community-driven art installation into a digital space that could preserve its impact and invite continued participation.
My main challenge was translating a tactile experience into a digital format without losing its emotional weight or sense of collective authorship. To execute the website, I taught myself how to use the Wix platform, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and warmth in both structure and visual design. The final experience centers community voices and supports engagement beyond the physical piece.
